Saying, Doing, and Causing Headaches.

Different types of quotes for awhile. The AP classes have been split into gender-specific groups. I hope everyone realizes the opportunity presented should not be wasted. It should force you to consider different viewpoints since the "other" gender is missing and not available for comment. A valuable lesson: Just because people (and their viewpoints) cannot be seen, their opinions should be heard and/or considered.

Govt/Econ: Tests on Chapter 16 (Taxes)

WS: Joan of Arc and Messenger clips.

AP: Same as WS, but I also gave you homework. We'll discuss the Magna Carta and Black Death numbers on Wednesday. There will be a biography on JOan of Arc on Tuesday. Discussion about the lady will be taking place on Weds/Thurs.

Do not forget about the castle due next Tuesday...no late projects will be accepted. Turn it in by Friday for EC.

What kind of Docter is Dr. Steve Couture anyway?

"Doctor" Couture earned a PhD in Education, I believe. Anyone who earns a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) can be cllaed, "Doctor" just like anyone who graduated with a Medical Degree (MD) from medical school can be called, "Doctor." I have to say that Dr. COuture is not too picky about what he is called, which I respect. He goes by his first name with the staff, while we address him as "Dr. Couture" to students and parents. We've had previoous administrators who would correct anyone using "Mr." or "Ms." rather than "Dr." when addressing him/her. Kinda snooty, if you ask me.
