Castles, plus Cause & Effect

If you have any castle questions - post them here and help each other out. Gain some positive feedback on your ideas - claim them first, but also help others!

I hope the AP group learned how to do something interesting today. For EC - I'll be assigning some other linking games. For even more kudos - come up with your own!

ENjoy your 4 days!

If we are drawing our castle, do you want them colored or just with pencil?

Mundi, you know you can't draw.

Color is not as important as detail, while detail may not be as important as color. Time, effort, and achievement are worth more than anything. Just do what you need to in order to get a deserving grade, since that is all anyone seems to really care about anymore.

Is everything due on Tuesday? AP WH

Due Tuesday - The Castle! I'd like the categorization, but the Castle is the priority. We'll correct some stuff on Wednesday, since most people will be at Wilson on Tuesday. But I need the castles on Tuesday! Tuesday - castles due. Castles due Tuesday. Clear enough?

okay romo if we are writting about our castle then can we write it as a story??

When writing about a castle, I would prefer a narrative. PLace yourself in the castle. Be the castle. I do not want a report you simply plagiarized off the internet about some specific castle or castles in general.

Be an attacker (or several attackers since a few may die). Be a defender. Be the architect pitching your plan to a king/queen. IMagine you are in a pre-gunpowder society and must defend or attack a protected city. WHat obstacles have you placed or must you overcome? Maybe you're a resident simply running from one part of the castle to another - what do you see/encounter?

USE YOUR IMAGINATIONS!

Romo...I need help on this project! I want to write a story but I am very confused. Can we use me, myself, and I statements? This is very difficult! Do you have any other advice for those of us who want to write a story??

Romo said...

You are OK. I am OK. We are OK. A narrative MUST use such statements. Everyone seems to be freaking out over small things - the idea is to take what you have learned, combine it with what you are good at doing and regurgitate the info back to me/us.

Relax and enjoy an ssignment for once! Oh yeah - everyone waits until the final moment to get things done - which eliminates the relaxation and enjoyment of anything. It's another reason why teens are studpid. Sit back, pace yourself, so you can appreciate your surroundings and experience the moment.

how long is the story supposed to be. can it be 1 to 2 pages

you say the Castle is the priority. So if we don't have the other stuff in tomorrow will they be docked points?

I love how some of you wait until the last day to ask questions - even ones that have already been answered. For whomever waited until today to ask such questions: Do not put forth any more effort as I do not expect very much (if anything) from you. One page for a project assigned over 1 month ago? You have got some delusional mindset about what it takes to be a scholar.
